Antimicrobial Additive

By incorporating zinc oxide particles into the polymers, they will acquire properties to prevent the transmission of various pathogenic organisms such as Coronavirus SARS, Influenza A-H1N1, Salmonella, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia Coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Aspergillus Nigger, among many others.

Nanotechnology is applied in minimal additions to polymeric materials such as polyolefins, styrenes, and engineering material, among others, achieving permanent protection, as it does not degrade.

Polyurethane foams are used in a variety of industrial applications and consumer items such as mattresses, furniture, carpet insulation, bathroom and kitchen sponges, exercise accessories, automotive applications and insulation. These foams can support the growth of bacteria and fungi that cause odors, stains, degradation and dust mites. It is added directly to the liquid polyol flow before the polymerization reaction. Once added, it becomes a permanent part of the foam structure, with durability equal to the effective life of the product.
